Komodo Series Launch
at Living Edge, Brisbane
The Komodo Series including plexa#1, intra#1 and X–screens and
Komodo Animation were launched at Living Edge´s Brisbane Showroom
in September 2008 and featured during Brisbane Saturday Indesign. The
launch was made possible through the support of artisan and Living Edge.

Solo exhibition, Noosa Regional Gallery
present included works realised as part of the grant outcomes. These
works included 3D sketches showing the development of the screens, X–Screen,
pixel screen/ceiling (cloud formation) and Komodo Animation. This solo
exhibition was held in May 2009 at Noosa Regional Gallery.

2008 Bombay Sapphire Design Discovery Award and
Exhibition
plexa #1, The Komodo Series and Animation were presented in the Bombay
Sapphire Design Discovery Award Exhibition at Object Gallery (Sydney)
in September 2008, Redland Art Gallery (Queensland) in April 2009, and
at Melbourne Museum in November 2009. Waterson was named as a runner
up for the 2008 award.

Group Exhibition, artisan
The Komodo Series (installation) featured in the group exhibition The
Great Divide held at artisan in August 2008. The exhibition included
works by Lincoln Austin, Donna Marcus, Mandy Ridley and Jennie Jackson.
The Komodo Series also featured in Cherish´09 at artisan in December
2008.

Ivory Street Window, artisan
plexa#1 prototype and The Komodo Series were developed during a residency
at the State Library of Queensland from March to April 2008. A large–scale
installation of plexa#1 (cardboard edition) was displayed in artisan’s
24–7 Ivory Street Window in May 2008.
